Sanders County SAR is a non-profit, professional, volunteer Search and Rescue organization that started in 1974. We serve the communities of Sanders County, as well as providing mutual aid to our neighboring counties when requested thru the Sanders County Sheriffs Office. Our members train regularly to provide the highest level of care to those requiring our assistance.
We are available for callouts 24/7, 365 days a year.
We have various technical teams that include; Dive Rescue, Swiftwater Rescue, Mountain Rescue, Winter Rescue, SARDUS certified Area Search Canine and a Backcountry Medical Team. Our members come from many different walks of life with one common goal - to save lives.
